asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is being done by the British Council to help Palestinian students in the United Kingdom rendered destitute by the surrender of the mandate and its consequences.

Mr. Bevin

The British Council have now undertaken the responsibility for assisting these students to complete their courses at universities in the United Kingdom to the extent to which any resources the students themselves possess are insufficient.
