§ 32. Mr. S. Shephardasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware that the Nottinghamshire County Council in their Polling District Order, 1949, have not met the reasonable requirements of the electors of the Newark Division, since 24 parishes are not provided with separate polling places; and since representations have been made to him in accordance with the Representation of the 139W People Act, if he is now in a position to issue an instruction to the Nottinghamshire County Council to amend their order.
§ Mr. EdeI have these representations under consideration, but before reaching a final decision I am awaiting the observations of the county council, which I am assured will not be long delayed.
