§ Mr. Hurdasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress is being made in the discussions with the Governments of the Channel Islands on reciprocity in legal procedure which will enable civil claims arising in England to be pursued in Jersey if the defendant is now resident there.
§ Mr. EdeA memorandum setting out the action necessary for this purpose has been prepared by the Lord Chancellor's Department and is at present being examined by the Law Officers of Jersey and Guernsey, with a view to submission 101W to the States for consideration of a scheme for reciprocity between the Islands and this country.
