asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many persons are employed by the Bank of England on Exchange Control.

Mr. Glenvil Hall

The staff employed by the Bank of England on Exchange Control form part of the general administrative staff of the Bank, and I understand that they number about 1,500.
