§ 112. Sir P. Macdonaldasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he has considered the speech delivered by His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of the Leeward Islands to the General Legislative Council on 8th December last; whether he approves of it; and what action he proposes to take.
Mr. Creech JonesIt is customary for a Colonial Governor to comment on the affairs of the Colony, as he sees them, in opening the budget session of the Legislature, and the terms of such an address do not require the approval of the Secretary of State.
