Mr. J. P. L. Thomasasked the Minister of Supply whether he has any statement to make on the declaration by his Department that approximately 350 employees at the Ministry of Supply storage depot, Hereford, are now redundant.
§ Mr. G. R. StraussI regret that it will be necessary to discharge about 350 industrial employees at this depot, because the work on the breakdown of equipment should be completed by the end of June. The employees will be discharged gradually and the Ministry of Labour expect to be able to offer them other work.
