§ 92. Sir R. Glynasked the Minister of Transport why his Department will not allow a four-aspect traffic signal to be suspended over the centre of dangerous cross-roads where the pavements are already too narrow to permit the erection of the ordinary type of traffic signal.
§ Mr. CallaghanCentrally suspended signals are not used because it is better to have a signal at each side of the approach roads. Difficulties where the footways are narrow can be overcome.
