HC Deb 14 February 1949 vol 461 cc128-9W
Lieut.-Commander Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that Mrs. Nisbet, 9, Westfield Road, Edinburgh, has been endeavouring to obtain a pair of spectacles for her daughter since September, 1948; that the child is unable to read or write without glasses; and what steps he proposes to take to ensure that this young girl's education and health do not continue to suffer.

Mr. Woodburn

I regret the delay which has occurred in this case but am informed that the child has now been supplied with glasses.
