asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will call for a report on the damage to certain foreshores in South Ronaldshay, Orkney, which appears to be a direct consequence of the erection of the barrier across Water Sound.

The attention of the Admiralty had not previously been drawn to any complaints of damage to foreshores in South Ronaldshay. An early report has been called for and I will write to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
