§ 95. Mr. P. Robertsasked the Postmaster-General when the telephone which was first applied for on 17th March, 1941, for Mr. J. Brewin, of 29, Bocking Lane. Beauchief, Sheffield, will be installed.
§ Mr. Wilfred PalingThere is no trace of any application for a telephone by Mr. Brewin before the 5th November, 1945. At that time, service could not be provided as there were no spare lines in his locality. The necessary line and equipment have recently become available, but owing to pressure of essential work in the Sheffield area, including permanent repairs following the recent heavy storm, I regret that it will be some months before we shall be able to provide Mr. Brewin with service.
