§ 77. Mr. Beswickasked the Minister of Transport if he is now able to make the regulations provided for under section 101 of the Transport Act, 1947, dealing with compensation for former Canal Company's officers who were displaced by the Transport Commission.
§ Mr. BarnesI have already made regulations covering officers and servants of canal undertakings transferred to the Commission. There are also a number of bodies which were completely controlled by the various canal undertakings transferred to the Commission under the Act for which I am required by Sub-section (1) (d) of Section 101 to make regulations providing for compensation. These regulations are in preparation and will be laid before the House as soon as possible.
