§ 76. Mr. Osborneasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many volunteers have enrolled for the revived Civil Defence Services in the various regions; how many will be required in each region; and what further steps he proposes to take to make the public conscious of the urgency of this question.
§ Mr. EdePending returns which are being obtained, I cannot state the total number of enrolments nor is it possible at this stage to say what will be the ultimate requirements of the various services. As regards the last part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave on 24th November to a Question by the hon. Member for Hornsey (Mr. Gammans).
