§ Mr. BevanI am informed by the London County Council that there are at present 163 families (of which 84 do not include the father) in accommodation provided by the Council under the National Assistance Act. The charges for board and lodging are in all cases at the minimum rates prescribed under the Act, that is to say, 21s. a week for an adult, 7s. 6d. for a child under 5, 9s. for a child between 5 and 11, and 10s. 6d. for a child between 11 and 16 years of age.
