§ Mr. Prescottasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what liaison is maintained by his Department with the Dominions, particularly the dominions of New Zealand and Australia, with regard to the formulation of a common British Commonwealth policy regarding Japan; and whether he is aware that the closest consultation and collaboration in this respect is essential.
§ Mr. Philip Noel-BakerClose and continuous liaison, both by correspondence and by oral discussion, is maintained with the Governments of other Commonwealth countries in regard to policy affecting Japan. I am of course in the fullest agreement with the view expressed in the latter part of the Question.
