§ 114. Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Fuel and Power what stocks of 1,400 × 20, 20 ply, tyres and tubes are held by his Department; and whether these stocks are available for private firms.
§ Mr. GaitskellThere are no stocks of tyres in my Department of this size but there is a stock of 88 tubes which is at present available for opencast coal contractors only. Should there eventually be any surplus it will be dealt with through the usual Government disposals channels.
