HC Deb 04 November 1948 vol 457 cc105-6W
90. Mr. Wadsworth

asked the Minister of Education if he is aware that the Bridlington St. George's County Secondary School is filled to capacity and unable to accommodate even those children living in the catchment area; and if he will take urgent steps to remedy this position.

Mr. Tomlinson

I am aware that the Bridlington, St. George's County Secondary School is crowded, but according to my information no children residing in the area served by the school have been refused admission. Urgent consideration is now being given to proposals recently submitted by the East Riding local education authority for the extension of the school premises.
