§ 99. Wing-Commander Hulbertasked the Minister of Works if he will consider retaining the illuminated fountains in Trafalgar Square permanently; and what is the cost of the necessary lighting and water supply.
§ Mr. KeyFrom November 1st, the fountains in Trafalgar Square will play daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition they will play on Wednesdays from 5.30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The fountains will be illuminated when playing after dark on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These arrangements will cost £72 a week for electric current and £2 15s. a week for water.
