§ Mr. BelcherThe representatives of first-feature producers on the Cinematograph Films Council include Sir Alexander Korda and Mr. Anthony Havelock-Allan. The former is "independent" in the sense that he does not rely for his finance on money provided by an American distributor or any of the companies associated with the circuits. The latter is likewise "independent" in the sense that he owns no studio of his own and does not rely for his distribution on one distributor exclusively.
