HC Deb 30 January 1948 vol 446 c208W
Mr. Sharp

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his investigation of the proposals of his Department to acquire additional land in Doveda[...] and other proposed National Park areas has resulted in the issue of-new instructions to the officers concerned with the making of such proposals; and whether he can now give the assurance that public needs for unrestricted access to good country will be taken into account before training area proposals are made by his Department.

Mr. Shinwell

My Department's requirements of land are considered under the procedure described in Part IX of Cmd. 7278 of December, 1947. As stated in paragraph 41 of the White Paper the point referred to in the last part of the Question is taken fully into consideration.
