EdwardsNo allocations of steel have yet been made for the second half of 1948 but if the allocations for shipbuilding and ship repairing remain at the same level as for the first half of 1948, the total allocations for the year will be 5.5 per cent. less than the total allocations for 1946, 7 per cent. more than the total allocations for 1947, 17 per cent. less than the total deliveries of steel in 1946 and 14.6 per cent. less than the total deliveries of steel in 1947.
