Mr. Medlandasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he is aware that during the gale on 1st February, a mine was washed ashore and exploded at Bigbury Bay, causing extensive damage to property; and whether he accepts responsibility and will pay compensation to owners and occupiers.
