asked the Minister of Labour under what circumstances local officers of his Ministry are not allowed to issue the latest available figures of unemployment in their areas to the Press and other interested bodies.

Instructions have recently been issued that figures may be released by local offices as soon as they are available after the monthly count of the unemployed.
