HC Deb 10 February 1948 vol 447 c42W
Lieut.-Colonel Clifton-Brown

asked the President of the Board of Trade when he will be able to allow the hairdressers of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, a further allocation of coupon-free towels.

Mr. H. Wilson

The issue in 1946 was made from stocks of utility towels which had accumulated because they were unpopular with the public. Similar stocks do not exist now, and I cannot say when production will be high enough to make another issue.
