asked the President of the Board of Trade when the ban on prior exchange permits for importation to Argentina is likely to be lifted, particularly in view of the demand in that country for high class British goods.

Perhaps my hon. Friend will await the statement on the current trade negotiations with the Argentine which my right hon. and learned Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer hopes to make on Thursday.
