HC Deb 10 February 1948 vol 447 cc51-2W
109. Mr. Skeffington-Lodge

asked the Minister of Supply what progress has been made in the establishment of the Aeronautical Research Station in Bedfordshire; and whether in the interests of the future plans of churches, and welfare organisations generally, he will indicate which parish or parishes are likely to embrace the bulk of the new population which will eventually be housed in the area.

Mr. J. Freeman

The preliminary work of road construction and site clearance is almost completed, but it will be some time before the first of the buildings is ready for use. It has not yet been decided where the houses for the staff will be built.
