§ Mr. Wilfred PalingThe normal weekly hours of telephonists (male), who are the main grade employed on telephone operating at night, are 48 hours gross; that is, inclusive of meal reliefs and other time allowances. The detailed attendances vary from week to week. The scales of pay for telephonists (M) for a 48-hour week are included in the statement I sent to the hon. Member on 11th December last.
