107. Mr. Prescott

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation when it is proposed that B.O.A.C. shall extend their operations from Hong Kong to Japan; and what base in Japan it is proposed shall be the terminus.

Mr. Lindgren

It is hoped to make this extension in the near future. Ultimately when adequate technical facilities can be made available, it is proposed that the service shall terminate at Tokyo. Meantime, it is proposed to terminate the service at Iwakuni.
