108. Mr. Willis

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation what was the profit or loss on each of the Scottish air services, respectively, for the last financial year.

British European Airways Corporation did not take over the operation of any internal air services until 1st February, 1947. Details of losses on scheduled services are not available but I am informed that an estimated loss of £107,155 was incurred in respect of Scottish Air Services in February and March, 1947.
