HC Deb 02 February 1948 vol 446 c217W
61. Mr. Skeffington-Lodge

asked the Minister of Agriculture when he expects that county agricultural executive committees will be appointed in their peace time form and at work throughout the country; and what accounts for the delay in their establishment.

Mr. T. Williams

I hope to constitute the new committees on 16th February. I am particularly anxious that these committees, in view of their very important duties, should include the best people available from all sections of the industry. This has involved making a good many inquiries and considering a large number of names, which naturally has taken some time. But there has been no undue delay.
