Mr. Vane

asked the Secretary of State for War what is the approximate number of captured enemy M.T. vehicles now held in B.T.A.; and, approximately, what proportion are in workshops at any one time.

Mr. Shinwell

Three hundred and thirty-seven captured enemy vehicles are held in B.T.A., of which 242 are on Army charge. Approximately 20 per cent. are in workshops at any one time.

Mr. Stokes

asked the Secretary of State for War how many of the 77,000 vehicles parked in Germany have been transferred to local authorities; and how many have been taken in for repair since 15th July, 1947.
