§ 104. Mr. Carmichaelasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that a number of business concerns owning their own transport service for the delivery of their own merchandise have pooled their transport resources to avoid unnecessary overlapping in deliveries, and, in consequence, are saving thousands of gallons of petrol per annum; and will he advise the local petroleum officers to take steps on similar lines wherever possible to develop such pooling arrangements.
§ Mr. CallaghanYes. In present circumstances, proposals of this kind will be considered sympathetically by regional transport commissioners.
