§ Mr. C. S. Taylorasked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the resolution passed by the Eastbourne Association of Building Trades Employers, of which a copy has been sent him, drawing attention to the disastrous effect of the curtailment of building 257W licences on towns such as Eastbourne, which have no heavy industries and no factories and therefore no means of absorbing unemployed building trade operatives; and whether he has any statement to make.
§ Mr. BevanYes. I am advised that there is sufficient work on the local authority's own housing scheme to employ the available building labour.
