Mr. Bingasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department has recently inspected the Romford Division of the Essex County Constabulary; whether his Department is satisfied that that Division employs the police available to the best possible advantage; and with what results complaints of the improper employment of police officers in that Division have been investigated.
§ Mr. YoungerThe Romford Division of the Essex police force was inspected on 205W 1st October by His Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary, who found no occasion for recommending any alteration in the disposition of the police employed in that Division. Complaints alleging the improper employment of members of a police force are a matter for the disciplinary authority for the force.
