HC Deb 11 November 1947 vol 444 cc47-8W
73. Mr. Nutting

asked the President of the Board of Trade to what European countries British cars are at present being exported; and what commodities we are receiving in exchange from these countries.

Mr. Bottomley

During the period January to September British cars were exported to practically all European countries, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal and the Netherlands taking two-thirds of the total. Particulars of the major imports from Europe will be found in the Monthly Accounts relating to Trade and Navigation.
