§ Mr. Byersasked the Minister of National Insurance the approximate number of widows under the age of 60 now drawing a weekly pension of ten shillings.
§ Mr. SteeleIt is estimated that at the 30th June, 1947, the number of widows under the age of 60 receiving a widow's pension of 10s. a week under the Contributory Pensions Acts was 450,000. About 140,000 of these also drew an additional allowance for a child.
