HC Deb 10 November 1947 vol 444 c4W
20. Mr. J. Hudson

asked the Minister of Food how much honey has been allocated to the factory at Gulval in Cornwall for the manufacture of mead and what percentage of the mead so obtained is to be exported.

Mr. Strachey

Six tons of imported honey have been allocated to this factory on condition that all the mead obtained from it will be exported. I understand that the factory is also using some home produced honey, over whose distribution no control is exercised.
