46. Mr. Platts-Mills

asked the Attorney-General whether the Porter Committee set up to consider amendments to the law of libel and slander has now finished its work; whether it has presented its report to the Government; whether and when the Government proposes to publish it; and if he will make a statement generally on the matter.

The Porter Committee has not yet presented its report, but it is now in the process of being drafted.
