§ 134. Sir P. Macdonaldasked the Minister for Economic Affairs whether first and special priority is still being given to programmes directly contributing to the expansion of fuel and power resources; whether he will give a list indicating what priorities are being given at the present time to all programmes involving deliveries of machinery; and what is the position relative to the delivery of machinery required by colonial producing industries, such as tin, which have large dollar producing capacity.
§ Sir S. CrippsThe answer to the first part of the Question is, "Yes," but the existing priority system is under review. Priority is given, at present, to machinery for the development of fuel and power resources and atomic energy. No specific priority is given to machinery required for colonial development but every endeavour is made to see that these requirements are met.
