§ 24. Mr. P. Wellsasked the Minister of Education if he will take the necessary action to ensure that debts in the form of loans made by his Department to students, whilst undergoing training as teachers, are cancelled.
§ Mr. HardmanLoans are not made by the Ministry of Education. If my hon. Friend has in mind the loans made by local education authorities, the position remains as it was stated in a reply given on 10th June, 1946, of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
