§ Mr. BelcherThere were on the register on the date named 13,172 public and 200,743 private companies with a paid-up capital respectively of £4,078 million and £1,923 million. These figures include a small number of unlimited companies. The aggregate amount of nominal capital could not be ascertained without undue expenditure of labour.
