Wing-Commander Robinsonasked the Minister of Food on what grounds he turned down the application from the National War Disabled Association at 99W Blackpool for an allocation of rationed ingredients for the making of ice-cream, in view of the fact that such applications from individuals are often received favourably; and whether he will reconsider this application in view of the employment offered to war-disabled men both in manufacture and sales.
§ Mr. StracheyThis, and similar applications? have been refused because we already make allocations direct to suitable disabled ex-Servicemen. These ingredients are in extremely short supply and the Ministry must retain control of individual allocations.
