§ Sir S. CrippsIncreased production of perambulators depends in the main upon the availability of steel, supplies of which are unfortunately very short at present. I am, however, very well aware of the need for higher output and we are doing all we can to help the manufacturers who are exploring the use of alternative materials. It has also been agreed to increase the proportion of total production represented by perambulators and bed-folders at the expense of push-chairs.
