asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what is to be the constitution of the local public inquiries which are to be set up on military training areas; what are to be the qualifications of the chairmen of these inquiries; whether any persons have been selected; and when the inquiries will be held.

The public local inquiries referred to will in each case be held by a person experienced in public affairs to be appointed by the Minister of Town and Country Planning as soon as possible after the publication of the White Paper promised in the Prime Minister's statement on 25th February, 1947.
