asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what steps he is taking to ensure the continuance of a gas supply to the borough of Helston.

The gas works belonging to the Helston and District Gas Company is in a bad condition and the company cannot raise the necessary finance to put it right. While the maintenance of the supply of gas is the company's responsibility, my Department is seeing whether there is any help they can give.
