HC Deb 26 March 1947 vol 435 c194W
23. Mr. Astor

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many towns in the British zone in Germany have not, during the past six months, received their prescribed quota of food.

Mr. J. Hynd

Figures are not available but deficiencies certainly occurred in a number of towns at some time during this period. Wherever possible shortages in any one ration period are made good in subsequent periods.
