HC Deb 26 March 1947 vol 435 c194W
Mr. Stokes

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he will make known the decision and action taken as a result of the report from Scotland Yard officials who investigated recently the irregularities by members of the Control Commission for Germany.

Mr. J. Hynd

The investigations related to alleged or suspected criminal offences and, as I indicated to my hon. Friend on 26th February, criminal proceedings will be taken where the evidence justifies this course. One such trial has been opened and the hearing has been adjourned. The results of this and any other trials of this kind are likely to be reported in the Press.
