Mr. Grenfellasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware of the discomfort which has been experienced by R.A.F. ratings at Credon Hill, Hereford, owing to the lack of fuel and suitable food; 201W and whether it is proposed to avoid further hardship arising from restrictions and bad organisation generally in that camp.
§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerThe R.A.F. Station, Hereford, has had especial difficulties in the recent cold weather, with snowdrifts 12 feet deep. In common with other R.A.F. Stations in this country, it has done its best to save fuel. The station commander, who visits the messes twice a week, has had no complaints about the food. I should be grateful if my hon. Friend would give me particulars of the restrictions and bad organisation which he has in mind.
