HC Deb 11 March 1947 vol 434 c147W
Major Vernon

asked the Minister of Labour the extent of unemployment of electricians in the London area; and the proportion of the total which is due to lack of materials.

Mr. Isaacs

On 9th December, 1946, the latest date for which an occupational analysis is available, there were 217 wholly unemployed men registered at employment exchanges in the London area for employment as electricians, wiremen, etc., and 88 as electrical fitters. I regret that the information asked for in the second part of the Question is not available.
