HC Deb 04 March 1947 vol 434 c47W
87. Mr. Baker White

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that the British officer in charge of a camp in Kent for non-Nazi German prisoners of war has issued orders that pet rabbits kept by the men must be killed to supplement their rations; and on what authority this order was issued.

Mr. Bellenger

The hon. Member appears to have been misinformed. No order has been issued that the pet rabbits kept by these prisoners of war should be killed. The prisoners' rations have always been up to scale.
