§ 74. Mr. Guyasked the Minister of Transport whether any arrangements have yet been made for cheap day fares, as carried out last year during mid-week, to Southend-on-Sea, commencing with the summer school holidays.
§ Mr. BarnesCheap day fares on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between populous towns and places within a radius of 20 miles or so are still in operation. Owing to the necessity for saving fuel no day excursions are being run this summer.
